VENDORS WITH MULTIPLE REMITTANCE ADDRESSES

if you have a vendor that is already set up in viewpoint but has a different remittance address than yours, please use the ADD'L ADDRESS tab in the AP - PROGRAMS - AP VENDOR MASTER screen to set up the new address. when you are booking your a/p, you can select the remittance address that you want the check to go to. the only time the actual remittance address should be changed is if the vendor is no longer receiving mail at the address specified. vendors such as AT&T and WASTE MANAGEMENT have multiple address that their checks will be sent to and this option should be utilized.

Please note that if you forget to change the remit to address (entered in AP Vendor Master) at the time you enter the invoice in AP Transaction entry, you will have another opporutnity to do so when you are in AP Payment Workfile. Both programs will allow you use an additional remittance address set up in the AP Vendor Master Program.
